The degrees are accredited as conferring eligibility for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership provided you study sufficient psychology and the minimum standard of a Second Class Honours is achieved. This is the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist......

In its most recent 5-year accreditation review (May 2009) the Department was commended for:

i) the access to facilities provided to students to support their Part 2 project work.

ii) the high level of personal and academic support provided to students registered on the courses, and

iii) the unique and diverse range of modules available to students in Part 2 of the course.

The British Psychological Society (BPS) is the professional body in the UK representing psychology and professional psychologists which also publishes and distributes a wide range of books and booklets related to the subject, ranging from the types of careers people move on to after their degree to booklets on specific areas of psychology.
