Maria Villamil

BEng (Hons), MSc

DPhil Student

In October 2022, I began my DPhil in Experimental Psychology under the supervision of Professor Hannah Smithson (Experimental Psychology) and Professor Martin Booth (Engineering).

Having achieved a First Class (Honours) in my BEng Electronic Engineering, I began a MSc in Applied Computational Science and Engineering (ACSE) as a Scholar at Imperial College London.

My DPhil in the Medical Sciences Division at the University of Oxford is the Enabling High-resolution Retinal Imaging for Early Detection of Neurological Disease. In short, the DPhil seeks to measure and correct fixational eye movements (FEMs) to enable robust imaging in clinical populations.
