We are very pleased to announce that Oxford was successful in its two NIHR BRC (Biomedical Research Centre) bids. Oxford was awarded £12.8M to create a new BRC specialised for mental health. This is a partnership between the University and the Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. The BRC includes themes on psychological treatments, old age and dementia, and adult neuropsychiatric conditions, as well as cross-cutting themes on experimental medicine, cognitive neuroscience and imaging, and technology and big data.

Experimental Psychology staff Anke Ehlers, David Clark, and Kia Nobre have contributed as applicants, and will be working along with colleagues in Psychiatry to invigorate translational research in mental health.
