Research Assistant

I am a research assistant in the TOPIC group, working on the MY-CATS study. This study aims to identify 4-7-year olds who are at risk of developing an anxiety disorder and use an online, practitioner-supported and parent-led CBT intervention to help minimise the amount that these children struggle with fear and worry.

My role is primarily to assess whether this intervention has had its desired effect, by interviewing parents from both arms of the trial about their children and any difficulties they might experience 12 months after they were assigned to either the treatment or control arm.

I have a particular interest in child and adolescent psychopathology, and am writing my MSc dissertation on the impact of school closure and reopening throughout the Covid-19 pandemic on child and adolescent anxiety.

I graduated with a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge in 2019 and am currently completing an MSc in Psychology at Birkbeck, University of London. I have also worked as an honorary research assistant on the COMPASS project at King’s College London.
