Grade 6: £29,614- £35,326 per annum
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to work with Professor Bernhard Staresina in the Memory and Sleep Laboratory. The laboratory investigates the interactions between episodic memory formation and brain dynamics during sleep.
The post is full-time starting as soon as possible after 1 January 2022. It is fixed term for 24 months with the possibility of renewal.
The post-holder will be expected to carry out research related to the laboratory’s interests and to collaborate with other researchers in collecting and analysing EEG, fMRI, NIBS and behavioural data.
The successful candidate will hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in psychology, neuroscience, physiology or a related discipline. They should have experience in cognitive neuroscience research, conducting sleep/polysomnography studies, behavioral data collection and data analysis and MATLAB. They will be self-motivated and able to work independently but will also need to work collaboratively with those involved in the research. The ability to manage their own research and administrative duties is also required. Knowledge of cognitive neuroscience of memory and/or sleep would be desirable.
