Cultural influences on responses to stressful events

We are looking for healthy volunteers aged 18-27 for a study of cultural influences regarding how people respond to stressful events.

If you are either:

  • Ethnically British and have resided in the United Kingdom for at least 8 years; OR
  • Ethnically Chinese and have resided in Taiwan for at least 8 years; OR
  • Ethnically Chinese and have resided in Hong Kong for at least 8 years.

You are invited to participate in a research session at the Oxford Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma, the Old Rectory, Paradise Square, Oxford. This would take about 2 hours of your time.  You would be asked to complete a set of questionnaires, paper-and-pencil tasks and a computer-based task. You would be reimbursed for your travel expenses and time.
