Emma Shepherd

BSc (Hons) Psychology

Executive PA and Research Coordinator

As PA to Professor Anke Ehlers, my responsibilities include assisting with:

  • general administrative support
  • the preparation of journal articles, books and research grant applications
  • monitoring a range of budgets.

Furthermore, as Research Coordinator for the Oxford Centre for Anxiety Disorders Trauma (OxCADAT) I oversee the day to day running of the clinic. OxCADAT currently focuses on developing treatments for social anxiety disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. I am the first point of contact for staff, patients, external agencies and members of the public interested in our research and treatments. I also assist with research tasks including participating in behavioural experiments with patients, maintaining patient records, and updating research related web pages.

OxCADAT has been situated within and closely linked to the Experimental Psychology department since January 2012. I support the liaison between the two groups of staff.

I joined the University in this role in May 2012 having previously worked for Oxford Health NHS Trust at the Psychological Services department, Warneford Hospital. I have a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Winchester.
