Polina Perzich
BSc, MSc
Lab Manager/ Research Assistant
As well as my role as a Lab Manager to support the day-to-day running of the Sleep and Memory Group, I work as a Research Assistant at the Staresina Lab. Prof. Bernhard Staresina's work focuses on harnessing neurophysiological markers of sleep to gain a deeper understanding of memory formation, consolidation and retrieval. Using various Electrophysiological methods (iEEG, EEG), Imaging methods (MRI/ fMRI/ DTI) and Brain Stimulation techniques (tDSC, eStim) we look at dynamic changes within the brain during sleep in response to prior learning.
Prior to joining Experimental Psychology at University of Oxford, I completed my MSc at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, UCL. Before this, I studied BSc Psychology at the University of Exeter, where my previous research background included memory, cognitive offloading and executive function.
