Structure of Gelada Baboon Reproductive units i. Stability of Social Relationships
Dunbar RIM.
Social relationships among the adult members of gelada baboon (Theropithecus gelada) reproductive units remain stable over time, despite the occurrence of potentially disruptive events (including births, deaths and take-overs). Data are presented to show that at least part of the reason why these relationships are stable seems to be that females prefer to interact with their immediate female kin. © 1979, BRILL.
