ESRC Funding 2016 – Psychology Pathway - Social Science Division Doctoral Training Centre

We are able to nominate eligible applicants for funding via the ESRC Doctoral Training Centre. The two forms of funding available to are:

ESRC 1+3 - This funding covers funding for the one year MSc in Psychological Research followed by 3 years of DPhil study. See the following link for further details: DPhil in Experimental Psychology (ESRC 4 Year Funding)

ESRC +3 - This funding will cover 3 years of a DPhil study. Applicants will need to have an ESRC-recognised Masters to be eligible for this funding. See the following link for further details about the course: DPhil in Experimental Psychology.

Additionally, applicants with appropriate research proposals will be considered for an AQM (Advanced Quantitative Methods) studentship. Prospective students do not apply directly for AQM studentships; they are nominated by the department based on an evaluation during the graduate admissions process.

  • If you wish to be consider for the AQM & ESRC +3 Funding.  Please apply for the DPhil in Experimental Psychology (Direct Entry) Programme of study quoting the following Studentship Reference Code: 2016ESRC

The ESRC award funding packages depend on eligibility criteria that are explained on the ESRC DTC website FAQ page.

We will notify you if you have been nominated for ESRC funding in your initial conditional offer letter. Formal notification, if your nomination is successful, will come from the Social Sciences Division at a later date.
