The Emotion, Personality and Social Behaviour (EPSB) module provides a critical analysis of the range of methods and approaches used in social psychology and the study of individual differences. This includes experimental methods, field research, simulation studies, questionnaires, interviews, observational methods and surveys.

The module covers the use of qualitative methods which is illustrated by using practical exercises. It also covers relative advantages of explicit and implicit measurement as well as measures of individual differences in personality.

The module is taught through the attendance of a series of lectures and the overall assessment is based on a written assignment.
