The "Back from the Dead" Team

Andreas Kappes

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Andreas is a Research Fellow at the Department of Experimental Psychology and the Oxford Martin School. He is interested in the psychological as well as biological foundations and limitations of human cooperation. Specifically, he is investigating under which circumstances people are willing to forgo selfish interests in favour of helping others or for the greater good and the role that uncertainty plays in social behaviour. He uses methods from psychology, neuroscience, and behavioural economics to better understand human social behaviour. And he is interested in how his research insights can inform public policy, especially with regard to infectious diseases.
