Research Grants Assistant

I assist with post research award administration and my duties include:

  • ensuring that research budgets are set up accurately on Oracle;
  • producing monthly project status and activity reports and distributing to Principal Investigators;
  • producing monthly reports for management to keep track of the overall research project portfolio;
  • processing journals and transfers to correct miscoded expenditure or to remove disallowed expenditure (such as VAT on EC projects);
  • liaising with Research Accounts when research projects are audited and providing required documentation for auditors;
  • liaising with Research Services and Research Accounts to process extensions or supplements to research awards;
  • keeping track of impending project end dates and liaising with Principal Investigators to ensure sponsor requirements are met;
  • maintaining systems to track the completion of timesheets by staff working on EC awards.
