Personal Assistant to Professor Kia Nobre, Chair in Translational Cognitive Neuroscience

At the start of April 2015 I joined the University of Oxford as Executive Assistant to Professor Nobre. 

I have a background in Psychology with a B.Sc (Psychology) & an M.Sc (Sport & Exercise Psychology). 

I am currently completing the BPS Stage 2 Qualification in Sport & Exercise Psychology whilst working Part-Time at Oxford United Football Club. 


  • Manage public communications related to the Chair in Translational Cognitive Neuroscience: update and maintain research group related websites, coordinate postings across web sites, organise and contribute to blogs, maintain social media accounts.

  • Maintain communications with members of the cognitive neuroscience research grouping, maintain up-to-date record of research activity, publications, news, media engagements.

  • Liaise closely with the Chair in Translational Cognitive Neuroscience to ensure the smooth running of activities.

  • Manage and maintain wiki site with up-to-date experimental procedures for Brain & Cognition Lab.


  • Organise activities of cognitive and behavioural neuroscience research grouping, including seminar series.

  • Organise Brain & Cognition Lab activities, including lab meetings and journal club.

  • Organise and run public involvement, engagement, and communication activities.

  • Assist the Chair in Translational Cognitive Neuroscience with development & fund-raising activities.


  • Accurate maintenance of the Brain & Cognition Lab electronic diary, including the bookings of experimental facilities.

  • Establish and maintain appropriate filing systems and databases for Brain & Cognition lab documentation: ethics forms, experimental forms, and participants’ data.

  • Responsibility for the Brain & Cognition lab’s space and facilities, ensuring that they are maintained to the highest standards eg. Liaising with the cleaning staff, reporting faults. Liaising with the Buildings and Facilities Manager when required.

  • Ensure that the Chair in Translational Cognitive Neuroscience list of publications, CV, and biography are kept up to date.
