DPhil Candidate

  • Attention, Brain & Cognitive Development (Scerif Lab)

RESEARCH OVERVIEW

My DPhil research investigates the development of executive functions in preschool children. More specifically, I aim to design and test an intervention to improve the home learning environment by providing parents with actionable information on activities they can do with their children to promote executive functions and other important early life skills.

BIOGRAPHY

I am a part-time DPhil student in Professor Gaia Scerif’s ‘Attention, Brain and Cognitive Development’ lab. I am funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and supervised by Professor Scerif. I am also a Senior Advisor at the Behavioural Insights Team; a social purpose company, part owned by HMG Cabinet Office, where I lead a portfolio of work on Early Years policy.

I hold and MSc in Behavioural Science from the University of Stirling, Scotland and a BA in Economics and French from the University of Limerick, Ireland.
