Greg Simmonds

BSc (Hons), MSc (Oxon)

Post-graduate Research Assistant

Early-career visual cognitive researcher in applied psychology

I am currently working on a 2-year research grant with the Crossmodal Research Laboratory, led by Prof. Charles Spence. This is part of a research programme funded by a major FTSE 100 FMCG company which involves developing gold-standard visual cognitive  and neuroscience-inspired research methods, and assessing packaging design effectiveness for commercial and academic research outputs. I am the sole full-time employee on the project, with supervision from Prof. Charles Spence, and Prof. Nancy Puccinelli.

Prior to this, I have studied MSc Psychological Research with the department, have worked in market research, and worked with the Medical Research Council on projects aiming to improve dietary self-efficacy in young mothers.

My research interests include crossmodal sensory integration, visual cognition, research methods, and encouraging healthy nutritional behaviour change.
