How does psychology produce sociology?
I study the impact of human decision biases in social and group decision making. The psychology of trust, influence, and friendship choice produces sociological consequences such as echo-chambers and polarised discourse. Through understanding the basic psychology we may be able to develop new ways of communicating which reduce the potential for individuals to become insulated from dissenting opinions.
