Anxiety & Trauma (Ehlers)
I am interested in understanding more about how psychological therapies for mental health problems work.
My PhD project aims to investigate processes of therapeutic change and recovery in cognitive therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I analyse changes in variables that are thought to drive clinical improvement according to cognitive theories of PTSD. This will allow me to test the theoretical models underpinning cognitive therapy for PTSD.
I am also working part-time as a Research Assistant creating videos that are embedded in a newly developed internet program for treating PTSD.
