HR Assistant (Maternity Cover)
As HR Assistant within the Department I provide administrative support to Tracy Tompkins, Departmental Administrator, and Karen Nobes, Personnel and Administration Manager.
My role includes maintaining the department’s payroll and acting as first point of contact for any payroll queries. I am responsible for reporting from the CORE HR system and ensuring that all records are up-to-date, including right to work checks, outside appointments and the Departmental Training Database.
I act as the Personal Development Review (PDR) Coordinator for all Academic Related and Support staff and also coordinate the Annual Awards for Excellence Scheme.
I provide support for Athena Swan activities, gather data for and update the Athena Swan personnel database and assist with other project work as necessary.
I come from a University background, having worked as a PA to the Professor of Surgery at the University of Manchester. My experience lies in being a PA with over 5 years experience. I have always been interested in HR therefore I recently completed the CIPD diploma in Human Resources Management to progress my career in the HR field.
