Nusreen Ali (Naz)
Finance Assistant (Invoices & Expenses)
My main role within the finance team predominantly involves receiving and reviewing invoices for payment, as well as checking, coding and approving expense claims. I am also responsible for updating the system with receipt of goods/services. On a daily basis I answer queries regarding invoicing and expenses, as well as dealing with queries raised by suppliers. I work alongside my colleague Claire Gregory and help out on occasions with handling the petty cash for participant payments.
I started working with the University of Oxford for Professor Keith Willett as a finance and admin assistant, with NDORMS based at the JR hospital Kadoorie Centre back in September 2013. I then applied and got the position for finance assistant with the department of experimental psychology in November 2014. Previously I have worked for Oxfam GB, NHS and HSBC bank; I have a vast experience in finance throughout all my roles.
I'm currently studying for a diploma in AAT (accounting technician) qualification and am on my last four exams in Level 4, I am endeavouring to go on and study for the ACCA qualification in charted accountancy.
