Phoebe Rodgers

Graduate Research Assistant

Research Assistant on the Lexical Legacy project, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council
Research Summary

Having previously worked with children with dyslexia I am interested in the development of reading skills, how children learn to read and why some children struggle to. I am part of the Language and Cognitive Development research group, working as a research assistant on the 'Nurturing a Lexical Legacy' project. We are investigating how children make the transition from novice phonetic based reading, to more fluent effortless reading. We are currently recruiting schools to take part in our experiments.
