Eliot Farmer

Research Assistant

I am a Research Assistant in the Oxford Cognitive Approaches to Psychosis (O-CAP) research group. I am currently supporting the conduct of a randomised controlled trial testing the efficacy of a new, automated VR therapy for young people with needle fears.

I completed my BSc in Psychology at the University of Bath, where I was involved in research exploring the effects of music training on audiovisual perception, and projects investigating user presence and engagement in virtual reality.

Prior to this current role, I worked with young people in educational, community, and residential care settings. I am interested in how mental health difficulties develop in this age group, and how new, immersive technologies can be leveraged in the development of effective and accessible interventions.
