Building, Facilities and Decant Project Manager

  • As the Building, Facilities and Decant Project Manager, I am responsible for managing and ensuring the smooth operational transition of the Department, from the current 4 buildings to the new Life and Mind Building. Following the move, I will manage and implement the process to enable Estates Services to take vacant possession.
  • I also lead on day-to-day building and facilities operational needs within the Department, particularly in relation to facilities management, preventative maintenance, ad hoc repairs, and security and sustainability for departmental colleagues, buildings, equipment and furniture, all to support high-quality research and teaching.

Previously, I have worked within Higher Education as Head of HR at St Mary's University, Twickenham, and HR Partner at London School of Economics and London Business School. Additional to my work in HR, I spent my early career within Hospitality, leading operational functions such as catering and event management, building and facilities security management and supporting the health and safety function within 5 star London Hotels.

I hold a degree in Hotel Management, a BSc in Psychology and a Masters in Mindfulness from The Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice, Bangor University. Wellbeing at work is a key focus for me which I aim to foster across the Department.

I joined the Department of Experimental Psychology in August 2023.
