DPhil Candidate

  • MSc Psychological Research, University of Oxford

For my PhD, I am planning on investigating the neural basis of as well as process of formation of cognitive maps. More specifically, I am interested in how cognitive maps are taught and learned most efficiently and how the representation of their aspects changes as they go from being part of one-shot episodic memories to being part of a model-based framework that can be used for generalisation and inference.

In addition to that, I am also interested in memory and reinforcement-type learning and investigating how model-based abstraction and generalisation can and do occur and how this process is represented neurally.
