BSc (Hons), MSc, DClinPsych

Senior Researcher

I am a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist and Researcher, working as part of the Oxford Gender Study with Professor Paul Salkovskis. Our project focuses on understanding gender-related emotions, including distress (gender dysphoria). We aim to improve understanding of these emotions and support people experiencing related distress.

My research interests also include wider topics relating to sex and gender. I was previously a researcher and co-author for the recent ‘UK Independent Review of data, statistics and research on sex and gender’, led by Professor Alice Sullivan (UCL) and commissioned by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (UK Government). I have also worked clinically in the NHS as a Psychologist.
