Finance Manager
As Finance Manager I am responsible for the department's financial administration. My role is to support the strategic agenda of the department and work closely with the Deputy and Head of Administration and Finance to develop the department's financial strategy.
Some of my responsibilities include:
* Preparing the annual budget and quarterly forecasts;
* Monitor performance, analyse and investigate variances;
* Manage the finance team;
* Oversee year-end and month-end processing activity;
* Work closely with the departments Grants and Contracts team, ensuring effective management of research funds and grant expenditure.
I worked for 20 years in the catering industry, managing pubs as well as College Dining Halls, before changing career in 2016. My previous role before joining Experimental Psychology was Senior Management Accountant at the Department for Continuing Education.
