IMPORTANT APPLICATION DATES

For entry in October 2027:

UCAS Application Deadline: *15 October 2026*
TARA test registration opens: 1 June 2026
TARA test booking opens: 20 July 2026 (for registered candidates)
TARA test dates: 12 - 16 October 2026

Students who wish to apply to study Experimental Psychology or Psychology, Philosophy & Linguistics as an undergraduate degree must apply through UCAS. All application information and entry requirements can be found under ADMISSIONS INFORMATION in the side bar.

APPLYING THROUGH UCAS

Psychology, Philosophy and Linguistics tutors reviews, interviews and selects the most competitive applicants each year to study Experimental Psychology or Psychology, Philosophy and Linguistics at Oxford. Our academic entry requirements are A*AA across 3 A-Levels or equivalent qualifications.

Last year we had 682 applications, of which 251 were shortlisted and interviewed resulting in 102 offers to potential applicants. (2025-2026 Admissions Cycle)

All applications must be received through UCAS. Your UCAS application will allow you to submit all your relevant academic information, as well as your personal statement and school information. See more information on how to apply.

As part of the admissions process applicants will be required to sit the TARA (Test of Academic Reasoning for Admissions) test. More information can be found on the Pre-Interview Admission Test page.
