Test preparation

TARA (Test of Academic Reasoning for Admissions) for those applying to Experimental Psychology or Psychology, Philosophy and Linguistics (PPL)

Candidates for Experimental Psychology or Psychology, Philosophy and Linguistics are required to take the TARA (Test of Academic Reasoning for Admissions)

There are two multiple choice modules within the TARA; Critical Thinking and Problem Solving. This is followed by a Writing Task. The TARA assesses generic thinking skills and your ability to express yourself clearly in writing. You do not need any subject specific knowledge.

We strongly recommend that you explore the past papers and practice materials here.  The TSA and BMAT past papers are most suitable to help to prepare for the TARA (Test of Academic Reasoning for Admissions).
