Shuhan (Catherine) Wang
BSc, MSc
DPhil Candidate
I am a first-year DPhil student supervised by Professor Kate Nation and Professor. Asifa Majid. I will be exploring the cross-section between language, cognition and emotion in the context of reading and language development.
I completed a BSc Psychology degree at the University College London in 2023, and completed an MSc in Psychological Research (with distinction) at the University of Oxford in 2024.
Research Interests
I am interested in how different language systems affect individual cognition and development using eye-tracking techniques. In the future, I hope to examine how underlying individual differences, such as cultural background, influence their language and cognitive process.
