Professor Jenny Saffran from the University of Wisconsin will give the 2014 Anne Treisman Lecture.

The Anne Triesman Lecture series started in 2012 with the inaugural lecture given by Professor Treisman, a distinguished ex-University Lecturer in the Department of Experimental Psychology.  The aim of these lectures are to showcase the work of female psychologists who have made a major impact in their field.  This lecture series was formed as part of Athena SWAN to raise the profile of female academics.

Professor Saffran's research focusses on understanding how we acquire their native language.  The title of her talk is "Beyond Nature versus Nurture: Changing views of infant language development". Details about the lecture can be found on the events page.
