Gabi Gribbin

Research Assistant

I am a Research Assistant in the Oxford BabyLab, supporting the START (Supporting Toddlers with a family history of autism/ADHD to develop strong Attention, Regulation and Thinking skills) early intervention programme, and the REEF (Re-evaluating Early Executive Functions) project, both led by Dr Alexandra Hendry.

As an early career researcher my interests are broad, but I am especially motivated by how adult and child mental health, neurodiversity, and parenting relate to child outcomes. My MSc thesis at UCL explored the relationship between postnatal intrusive imagery, OCD traits, parenting confidence, and depression.

Coming to academic research after a career in marketing, and as a parent myself, I am committed to the timely application of research knowledge into practice. I am a member of the Oxford Maternity Neonatal Partnership, representing maternity service users and their mental health experiences within OUH, and a peer supporter at the Oxford Motherkind Cafe, a maternal mental health group.
