Research Assistant

I currently work as a research assistant in Brain Health in Ageing in the Cognitive Neurology group. As part of the Masud Husain lab, I gather research data from patients displaying a range of neurological symptoms in order to investigate apathy and motivation in neurodegenerative disorders.

In 2023, I graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. Between my third and final years at university, I completed a year in industry at Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham. As a student research practitioner in neurology, I focused on research investigating best treatments for multiple sclerosis, as well as techniques for visualising meningiomas.

Following the completion of my degree, I joined the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Oxford as a research assistant. My role involved centrally coordinating a clinical trial investigating semaglutide (a GLP-1 receptor agonist) as a potential preventative treatment for Alzheimer's disease.

I then joined the Experimental Psychology department in August 2025.
