Lillian (Yuxing) Yang

DPhil Student

I am currently an DPhil Student in the Cognitive Circuits Group, supervised by Dr Thomas Akam and Professor Timothy Behrens. My research uses rodent models to investigate the neural mechanisms underlying higher-order cognition, with a particular focus on flexible and adaptive behaviours in complex and structured environments. A central aim of my work is to understand how different subregions of the frontal cortex interact to support flexible, goal-directed behaviour.

I completed my MSc in Psychological Research at the University of Oxford and previously obtained a BA from McGill University, where I majored in both Psychology and Computer Science.
