RESEARCH OVERVIEW

I am a DPhil student supervised by Prof Nele Demeyere and Prof Sarah Pendlebury. My general research interests revolve around stroke and dementia, particularly how these two conditions co-exist and co-develop. More specifically, I am interested in cognitive impairment in long-term stroke survivors, such as the impact of early executive dysfunction on cognitive trajectory.

Broadly, I aim to further characterize post-stroke mild cognitive deficits within the continuum of vascular cognitive impairment and better understand the temporal evolution of cognitive performance following stroke. My work is funded by the Stroke Association, UK.
