BSc, MPhil, MSc, DPhil
Postdoctoral Researcher
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Motivation, Decision and Neurostimulation lab led by Miriam Klein-Flugge. We study the neural circuits fundamental to human motivation and decision-making by combining non-invasive brain stimulation using ultrasound with neuroimaging techniques and analyses of behaviour. I investigate how stimulating particular brain regions causally influences reward processing, approach/avoidance behaviours, and decision confidence. Moreover, I am intrigued by how these effects relate to the mechanisms underlying mood disorders, like anxiety and depression.
I completed my DPhil in 2023 here in Oxford working with Nick Yeung and Dan Bang, where I investigated confidence in adaptive decision-making. Prior to my studies at Oxford, I acquired an MSc in Cognitive and Decision Sciences at UCL, an MPhil in Management at the University of Cambridge, and a BSc in Psychology at the University of Mannheim.
