Donna Winston

Trial Manager with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust

I am a trial manager with the Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. For my work, I am based at the Oxford Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma (OxCADAT). My role is focused on two clinical trials funded by an NIHR Invention for Innovation grant. The trials are comparing internet-delivered cognitive therapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder with treatment as usual delivered via NHS Talking Therapies.

Prior to joining OxCADAT, I worked at Oxford Brookes University on a randomised, placebo-controlled, double-blind, crossover study of using inhaled hydroxy gas to treat Long COVID patients. Additionally, I have been a manager in the PwC Middle East practice and a Research Associate with WestEd.

Recently I graduated with an MSc in Computer Science with Data Analytics from the University of York. Previously I obtained an MA (Social Sciences in Education) and PhD (Administration and Policy Analysis) from Stanford University.
