Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Certified Public Psychologist, Japan

My research focuses on psychological support and interventions for school nonattendance and prolonged social isolation (hikikomori). I have led the development of Community-Wide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CWCBT) for Hikikomori—a structured support system designed to bridge the gap between social withdrawal and active social participation. This includes online CBT programs, family-based interventions, and community support systems in collaboration with local governments and partner organizations.

I am deeply committed to advancing accessible mental health care for marginalized populations and to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among psychological services, public policy, and community-based support. My work also emphasizes the development of digital tools and training programs to address the shortage of mental health professionals.
