My research focuses on the interaction between polygenic risk for depressive symptoms, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and benevolent childhood experiences (BCEs) in predicting depressive symptoms during adolescence. Broadly, I am looking into how positive childhood experiences may buffer against genetic and environmental risk to inform prevention and early intervention approaches for young people. Ultimately, I hope to contribute to research that shifts the focus from risk alone toward resilience. I am supervised by Professor Lucy Bowes and Dr. Simona Skripkauskaite.
I am supported by the John McCall MacBain Graduate Scholarship at Wadham College. Prior to my graduate studies, I completed a Bachelor of Social Work with a Minor in Science (Neuropsychology stream) at McGill University.
