Alice Quinton

PhD

Postdoctoral Research Associate

My research primarily focuses on interventions for anxiety-related mental imagery (or "flashforwards") with a particular interest in the experiences of neurodivergent young adults.

I have recently completed an MRC-DTP funded PhD within the Re:Spect Research Group (2021-2025) at the Social, Genetic and Developmental Centre, King's College London, supervised by Professor Francesca Happe, Professor Andrea Danese and Dr Freya Rumball. My PhD research utilised a mixed-methods approach to explore trauma experiences and mental health in neurodivergent young people across clinical and educational settings; combining the analysis of large longitudinal (E-Risk, TEDS) and cross-sectional (OxWell Student Survey) datasets with qualitative methods.

I am broadly interested in widening the accessibility of mental healthcare for young people, and I am committed to understanding how mental health is influenced by co-occurring diagnoses and life events.

I enjoy chatting about all things mental health research so would love to connect with people with similar research interests!
