MSc (By Research) Student

My research focuses on the interaction between polygenic risk for depressive symptoms, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and benevolent childhood experiences (BCEs) in predicting depressive symptoms during adolescence. Broadly, I am looking into how positive childhood experiences may buffer against genetic and environmental risk to inform prevention and early intervention approaches for young people. Ultimately, I hope to contribute to research that shifts the focus from risk alone toward resilience. I am supervised by Professor Lucy Bowes and Dr. Simona Skripkauskaite

I am supported by the John McCall MacBain Graduate Scholarship at Wadham College. Prior to my graduate studies, I completed a Bachelor of Social Work with a Minor in Science (Neuropsychology stream) at McGill University.
