Experimental Psychology's Mark Buckley has been appointed to the post of Professor of Behavioural and Cognitive Neuroscience in the latest University recognition of distinction exercise.
Mark is leading two new major programmes of work in the Brain and Behaviour Research group here in EP (one MRC and one Wellcome Trust funded) investigating real-time neural network dynamics underlying cognitive function; both involve neural stimulation and/or inactivation combined with simultaneous recording of neural activity from hundreds of electrodes across multiple brain regions during learning, memory, and choice behaviour.
Many congratulations Mark!
