The Early Career Researchers (ECRs) are taking over the departmental seminar for a series of 15-minute fire talks. Moderated by Sage Boettcher, these talks will enable ECRs from different research areas to present their research and answer questions. This year's fire talks include:

  • Sinziana Ioana-Oncioiu The association of developmental language disorders with bullying victimization in adolescence– evidence from a co-twin study
  • Anna-Katharina Matke-Bauer: Age-related differences in auditory rhythm perception
  • Jessica Thompson: Zero-Shot Visual Numerical Reasoning in Dual-Stream Neural Networks
  • Samuel RechtSignatures of efficient coding in perceptual metacognition

Please join us to learn about some of the research going on within the department and to support our amazing ECRs!

This is a hybrid event.  The talks will be held at the Seminar Room, New Radcliffe House (2nd Floor) but can also be followed on Zoom.

You can access the Zoom link via OxTalks at ECR Fire Talks - various speakers - Oxford Talks or, email us at to request the link.
