Another successful UNIQ Summer School week!   UNIQ 3.jpg     Another successful UNIQ Summer School week!    UNIQ 4.jpg

UNIQ Summer School students enjoyed a fantastic week gaining a real insight into what it's like to study Experimental Psychology at Oxford.

During the week, they took part in 6 hours of academic sessions a day, as well as social activities in the evening. They enjoyed introductory lectures from a variety of different academics within the department, a wet lab session and trips to OHBA and FMRIB. In addition, they had the chance to try out virtual reality and 3D printing at the Radcliffe Science Library. The week ended with students taking part in a tutorial.

Feedback from the students was excellent, as illustrated in the comments below:

"Lectures were phenomenal on a whole - the range of material covered was really great and engaging"

"The chance to see an actual human brain was also extremely valuable."

"The tutorial was extremely helpful and having an idea of the kind of work needed for a tutorial was useful."

About UNIQ

UNIQ is a programme of free summer schools at Oxford University and is open to students studying in their first year of further education and who are based at UK state schools/colleges. Students apply for a specific course that aims to give them a realistic view of Oxford student life. UNIQ participants live in Oxford college/annexe for one week in the summer. They attend lectures and seminars in their chosen subject, and workshops about applying to Oxford.
