Elaine Fox awarded BA/Leverhulme Grant
1 July 2015
Professor Elaine Fox has been awarded a BA Small project grant to collaborate with Professor Nazanin Derakshan (Birkbeck College) to investigate the potential of an adaptive working memory training task to improve the ability of high worriers to control the occurrence and impact of negative intrusive thoughts. If successful, the results may help in the translation of basic psychological science work to possible clinical interventions for anxiety and worry-related disorders. Matthew Hotton, a current clinical psychology student here in Oxford will be working on the project.
