TLarry Weiskrantzhe Department of Experimental Psychology mourns the passing of Larry Weiskrantz (1926-2018).

Larry was the Chair in Experimental Psychology and head of our department between 1967 and 1993. He fought energetically and successfully to empower psychology as a scientific discipline at Oxford, and lead our department into its modern age. Larry remains a giant in our field. Through his pioneering integrative approach, he made seminal breakthroughs, convincingly demonstrating the existence of implicit long-term memories, introducing the phenomenon of blindsight, and much more.

We shall remain forever grateful to Larry for all his dedication and contributions to our department. We will miss him. - Professor Kia Nobre, Head of Department
