Dr. Matthew Apps, a BBSRC Research Fellow in the department, has won the European Society for Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (ESCAN) Young Scientist Award. This award, provided by the ESCAN Board, honours the early achievements of a scientist working in the area of Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience and is meant to encourage the further ascendance of a research star.
Matthew will be presented with the award (+ €1500 prize) and give an award lecture at the 3rd ESCAN international conference in Porto at the end of June.
