Applications are invited for the post of Departmental Lecturer in Perception and Advanced Research Methods. This is a fixed-term career development post. The main duties and responsibilities of the post will be to provide undergraduate and graduate level teaching for the Department of Experimental Psychology (including lecturing, marking, and conducting associated laboratory classes), and associated tutorial provision and pastoral care for psychology students at Pembroke College. The role has primary responsibility for teaching, but additionally encourages independent research in area of interest or as part of an established research group in the department.

The post is full-time fixed-term for 24 months from September 2017.

Applicants must have a doctorate in psychology or a closely related field, and should have teaching experience and expertise appropriate to career stage. Applicants will also have a publication record and familiarity with the existing literature and research within the field of perception and/or advanced research methods, a commitment to participate in wider academic activities, the ability to contribute effectively to administrative work and to collaborate effectively with colleagues as part of an interdisciplinary team.
