The highly anticipated Life and Mind Building, fondly referred to as the LaMB, is due to reach completion stage this spring and will soon become the new home of Oxford's Biology and Experimental Psychology departments. By Michaelmas Term 2025, the building will be occupied by almost 1200 academic, support and research staff and graduate students, and will be the main teaching location for around 1000 undergraduates, making it the largest teaching and research facility in the University. In the meantime, a critical phase of departmental fit-out will begin, to ensure all spaces are optimised for the needs of the research, teaching and staff.

The funding and delivery of the LaMB has been undertaken in partnership with Legal & General. Construction began in November 2021 following the demolition of the Tinbergen building, which had been the primary location for the departments of Experimental Psychology and Zoology for almost 50 years.
