I am a clinical psychologist and researcher specialising in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. I work with the Oxford Health NIHR Biomedical Research Centre, Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, and NHS Talking Therapies services. My research focuses on improving our understanding of how people approach and undertake psychological therapies such as CBT. In particular I am interested in what people learn from therapy sessions, how they remember and use this information in between sessions, and how this affects their clinical progress in treatment. By understanding these processes in greater depth, I aim to develop targeted methods to better support patients between sessions so they can gain maximal impact from the therapy they receive.
