Jude Thom

DPhil Candidate

My DPhil research explores stereotyped bursts of brain activity and how they are related to memory.

I use a range of methods including brain stimulation, intracranial EEG, and single-unit data to investigate the relationship between bursts, memory representations, and behaviour. Specifically, my projects focus on the  dynamics of sleep spindles, wake ripples, and memory representations in humans.

I am supervised by Prof Bernhard Staresina and am funded by the BBSRC.
